Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber (Nylon 12CF) from Stratasys is a material that has become increasingly popular as a replacement for metal due to its exceptional weight-to-strength ratio. It is perfect for creating end-use parts, rugged clamping, and other applications where metal would normally be used.

Compared to other carbon fiber materials on the market, Stratasys Nylon 12CF stands out with at least 35% filament reinforced carbon fiber. This is a significant advantage over other nylon carbon fiber materials that only contain columnar carbon particles.

When compared to standard Nylon12 or similar FDM materials, Nylon12 CF performs almost 50%-100% better in terms of strength, impact resistance, and high temperature capabilities. The tensile strength is twice that of other materials, making it a top contender for metal replacement.
